What's different
A ten-hour book isn't a three-minute track.
Losing your position in a book is a lot worse than losing it in a song, so progress sync, resume, and offline playback get most of the attention here.

Your position syncs back to the server and carries over to your other devices, including after you've been offline.

Adjustable playback speed and a sleep timer.
Offline
Download a book, go offline, and resume where you were. Deleting the download keeps your position.
Scope
Audiobookshelf is the only audiobook source right now.
Audiobooks stored in Plex or a Subsonic library aren't supported in this beta. Per-chapter artwork and automatic downloads of new books aren't in yet either.
