Terms of Use

Effective July 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of Headroom. During a beta, features and compatibility may change and defects are expected.

License and acceptable use

Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Headroom. You may connect only to servers and media you are authorized to access. You are responsible for your server configuration, network security, backups, content rights, and compliance with applicable law. Do not use Headroom to gain unauthorized access, bypass access controls, distribute unlawful material, or interfere with another system.

Beta software

Beta builds may be incomplete, unstable, or incompatible with a server, device, receiver, vehicle, or operating-system update. Keep independent backups of important media and server data. Beta access may be changed or ended at any time, and a beta entitlement is not a promise of future paid access.

Purchases, subscriptions, and trial

Prices and available products are shown by the applicable store before purchase. Lifetime is a one-time purchase for the Pro entitlement sold with that product. Monthly and annual products renew automatically until cancelled in your store account. The store charges and administers purchases, renewals, cancellation, taxes, refunds, and family sharing under its rules. Platform purchases may not transfer to another store or platform unless Headroom explicitly says they do.

The app-managed 30-day trial charges nothing, requires no subscription, and does not auto-convert. When it ends, gated Pro operations pause. Existing local settings, EQ profiles, and already downloaded files are not deliberately deleted solely because access ended.

Third-party systems

Headroom interoperates with independently operated media servers, metadata services, receivers, stores, and purchase infrastructure. Their availability, behavior, and terms are outside Headroom's control. Naming a compatible service does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with that service.

No warranty and limitation

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Headroom is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the maintainer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, media, access, revenue, or use. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and termination

Features and these terms may change as Headroom evolves. Material terms changes will be dated here. You may stop using the app at any time. Use may be suspended where reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, legal compliance, or store obligations.

Store-specific terms and contact

On Apple platforms, Apple's Standard EULA applies in addition to these terms where required. The applicable app store's mandatory terms control if they conflict with these terms. Use the support page for questions.
