Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Posh Industries, the developer and publisher of Headroom. They govern your use of the Headroom app, website, beta program, and related support.
Acceptance and eligibility
By downloading, accessing, or using Headroom, you agree to these terms and the rules of the store through which you obtained the app. If you do not agree, do not use Headroom. You must be legally able to enter this agreement; if you use Headroom for an organization, you confirm that you may bind that organization.
License and acceptable use
Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, Posh Industries gives you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Headroom. You may connect only to servers and media you are authorized to access. You are responsible for your server configuration, network security, backups, content rights, and compliance with applicable law.
Do not use Headroom to gain unauthorized access; bypass access controls; distribute unlawful material; infringe another person's rights; introduce malicious code; interfere with another system; probe or overload Headroom's website or beta services; or reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Beta software
Beta builds may be incomplete, unstable, or incompatible with a server, device, receiver, vehicle, or operating-system update. Keep independent backups of important media and server data. Beta features, availability, and access may change or end at any time.
Beta access and future purchases
Every feature is unlocked in the current beta build. The beta contains no purchase, subscription, paid trial, or automatic conversion to a paid product. Participation does not by itself grant permanent or paid Pro access.
Headroom may award complimentary Pro access after launch to active testers who send useful bug reports. The scope and duration of any award will be confirmed when it is offered; beta participation alone does not guarantee an award.
Final launch products and pricing have not been announced. If Headroom later offers a paid product, the applicable store or purchase screen will display its price, duration, renewal terms if any, platform, and cancellation information before you authorize a purchase. Store rules govern billing, taxes, refunds, family sharing, and restoration. Unless Headroom expressly states otherwise, purchases made through different platform stores do not transfer between them.
Community rules
Public community discussions are for Headroom, self-hosted media, beta testing, and related listening workflows. You may not post harassment, threats, hate, impersonation, spam, unlawful material, instructions intended to compromise systems, or private information that you do not have permission to share. Never post credentials, access tokens, diagnostic files, or private server addresses.
You keep ownership of your posts and give Posh Industries a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and moderate them only as needed to operate and promote the community. You can request deletion through the support page. We may lock, hide, or remove content and suspend accounts to enforce these terms or protect users and services. Community access is a beta feature and may change or end.
Third-party systems
Headroom interoperates with independently operated media servers, metadata services, receivers, stores, and purchase infrastructure. Their availability, behavior, security, and terms are outside Posh Industries' control. Naming a compatible service does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation. You are responsible for any charges, permissions, and terms associated with services you select.
Ownership, your media, and feedback
Headroom and its software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by Posh Industries or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app to you. Posh Industries does not claim ownership of your media, playlists, metadata, servers, or feedback attachments.
If you voluntarily submit product feedback or suggestions, then unless a separate written offer says otherwise, you give Posh Industries a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or attribution. This does not give us rights to unrelated personal media or confidential material, which you should not include in feedback.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how Headroom and Posh Industries handle information. By using third-party servers or services, you also direct information to their operators under their own policies.
No warranty and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Headroom is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Posh Industries and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, media, access, revenue, or use arising from Headroom.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer rights, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow particular exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes, suspension, and termination
Features and these terms may change as Headroom evolves. Material terms changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, disclosed in the app or release notes. Changes apply prospectively. You may stop using the app at any time. Posh Industries may suspend access to its website, beta, or support services when reasonably necessary to protect users or systems, comply with law or store obligations, or address a material breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Applicable law and disputes
These terms do not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law where you live. Before filing a claim, please contact support@headroommusic.app so we can try to resolve it informally. Any unresolved dispute may be brought in a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent protective relief where available.
General terms
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the services they cover, subject to mandatory store terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without Posh Industries' consent; Posh Industries may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, or transfer of Headroom, subject to applicable law.
Store-specific terms and contact
On Apple platforms, Apple's Standard EULA applies in addition to these terms where required. A store's mandatory terms control if they conflict with these terms. Use the support page or email support@headroommusic.app for questions.
